10th September 2005: Eglinton Toll, Glasgow
Eglinton Toll by the Star Bar. I saw the umbrella earlier this evening driving by after a day building furniture in our new work office, so wandered back later to check and capture. There it was abandoned and then repeatedly flattened; barely an umbrella now, stuck roadside between the Pollokshaws and Victoria Roads, by the Star Bar, Super-Asia, Travis Perkins, the Shell station and the half-derelict Plaza nightclub. Its a strange location even for in Glasgow - midway between the inner-city hinterland, bedsit-land and affluent south Glasgow - a strange place to loiter while the cars and buses track by.
