4th May 2006, 7.40pm: Victoria Road, Govanhill, Glasgow
A taste of summer: the light night, the warm weather. The street is busy with peope relaxing, hanging about. the local internet cafe has chairs and tables set out front. Local youth hang around in force by the Jesus sign and swing idly on the railings. And this old dirty umbrella here, looking almost as if it arrived from another time; dredged up and quickly abandoned. All this happens in a quiet moment before the gathering storm and the coming thunder and lightening that will later break violently over Glasgow and shake the streets.
