Looking back, July seems an almost unrelenting blanket of sunshine. So far August seems a tarpaulin of rain, each day seeming to bring another pressure break and resultant downpour. Tonight after a rush-hour deluge this umbrella - a broken protector - must have been left carefully by its owner atop a bin by Central Station; their destination reached safely.
