3rd September 2006, 6.05pm: James Watt Street, City Centre, Glasgow
Kept busy in the centre, and shielded by the tower blocks and high buildings, the gathering storm keeps itself hidden from me until just before it breaks. I begin the long cycle home, first heading to the river down steep streets like those of San Franscisco. I come across this umbrella just as the rain starts, so collect it before heading quickly on. The ride home seems like a trek upriver; such is the wind and the rush of water through the air and over the tarmac as I head southside.
