Saturday 10th February 2001 – 12.33pm
What a day! A glad-to-be-alive day after taking the car off the road in thick ice last night: to be able to stand here in the rain and take a picture is amazing. And look at the tide, at the top of the banks and the top of the bridge posts, but still throwing itself up the Channel. All the boats on the Barrow Island slip are floating and the mooring buoys for many of the boats are now submerged.
