Wednesday 14th February 2001 – 8.44am
A cold icy night turns into a bright sunny day – the ice underfoot melting away. Low tide on the Channel with a strange pattern across the water: like gusts of wind, but not as they are quite stationary, patterns like ripples. Black Combe is beautifully shrouded in the distance and should be wonderfully clear later.
