Friday 16th February 2001 – 8.27am
Still and warm this morning, with pigeons in the air imitating the starlings of autumn and winter. The boats are calmly reflected and there is Black Combe, looking majestical. I wonder though, all this effort looking at a hill when on photograph it will manage to hide itself away modestly and downplay its whole importance to the scene.
