20th June 2001 6.38am
An early start, but the day is already bright and settled in. Hardly
surprising with the Longest Day only 24 hours away. There is a firm
wind coming out of the southwest, with the boats all facing obediently
to it. In the sky is thick high grey cloud, but with patches of clear
bright blue showing through, hinting at the day ahead, as wisps of
low grey cloud drive across the view carried swiftly by the wind.
