The gales of the last two days – Force 8 on Tuesday night apparently – have subsided, though today we still have a strong west-northwest wind coming in firmly, but with slightly less force and resolution. The day is cloudy but with areas of blue clearing in the sky, the clouds moving aside to let the sun and sky in on the day.
