Saturday 14th July 2001 – 8.55am
A medium northwest wind today. Tide leaving now, with a few boats going with it. On the Barrow Island slip, there are people gathering by tenders, two at first but then more joining them and heading on out: five in the first, three coming on behind, motoring out slowly under their Seagull motors - a ramshackle crew – before disappearing away under the bridge.
