Another bright sunny day coming on. The wind is still coming in, unflinching in its west-northwesterly direction, and the boats are riding between it and the heightening tide. The immediate view of the Channel and Walney lies in shade, making the distance seem brighter and further into the day. Here on the bridge I’m dipping in and out of the sun as the cloud moves across the sky.
