Tuesday 14th August 2001 – 6.38am
There’s a soft-steel sky overhead today, while the view distant is overcast, increasing the focus on the foreground. The tide is high and the boats are riding to it and the southwest wind. Jostling in the centre, the most obvious of the boats, is the bright blue tug, only back in the water after a year or so on Barrow Island slip, looking unusual and interesting. But what will she be used for? She will make a better houseboat than a dayboat.
