Sunday 9th September 2001 – 9.51am
Bright today, still with a racing northwest wind stealing in from the sea; turning the boats on their moorings. North by Black Combe the clouds are scattered, and the hill sits in full sun, unconcerned by the wind. Across the Lakes though, the clouds are gathering as they suck the water out of the land and sky.
