Saturday 17th March 2001 – 8.59am
Low tide, but not very low – still some water left in the Channel. There is no movement of the current against the buoys or the bridge posts. It’s a bright clear day, clean and clear - perhaps because of the cold East wind blowing in, chilling my fingers and shining up everything in its path.
