Saturday 14th April 2001 – 10.32am
There’s a fair west wind blowing in this morning, pointing all the boats to the Island. It’s an overcast Easter Saturday but who knows what will come later. Away, all that is visible of Black Combe is the faint push and rise of the cloud as it climbs over its gentle slope.
