Sunday 15th April 2001 – 11.31am
There’s a strong NW wind today, sending waves and dark patches of disturbance across the water. Overhead, it is sunny but still cloudy. The Lakes are in one large cloud from here. Between Black Combe and Walney is one long bend of cloud, continuous and joining the two but being pushed into an arc by the wind, and having to stretch to stay with both ends.
