Wednesday 9th May 2001 – 8.23am
There is always one boat that looks dangerously beached at low tide. Last year it was a high keeled yacht moored near the College. This year it is the blue Flying 15, resting badly on its nose and keel on the Walney shore, looking keen to break in two. Almost everything else is aground at a very low tide, but not quite so painfully. That worry aside, it’s a lovely sunny day.
