A flat day on the water, changed only by the ripples from a motor-fisher, heading out, nose high in the water, down the Channel and towards the sea. Yesterday’s heat and haze eventually gave way, late last night, to a thunderstorm and downpour of Mediterranean standards. Now the morning is overcast and calm and with only a slight breeze from the northeast filling the scene.
