Wednesday 18th July 2001 – 8.48am
It’s a windy ol’ time at the moment, with a heavy insistent wind coming up out of the south-southeast. On the water its high tide with the edge of the tide lapping at the feet of the boats on Barrow Island Club slip, while the yachts and small trawlers ride the wind. The day seems flat with little real depth: the cloud keeping out the sun to bring the day to real life.
