A strong north-northwest wind and a falling tide this morning. Mid-morning,
and the sun is high and warm, the clouds dispersed and dappled. Only
Black Combe seems to be in shade, as if it is continually manufacturing
new clouds, as the wind tries to blow each away. On the shore, young
seagulls are learning how to break up shells, between bouts of fighting
amongst themselves: typical rough juveniles that they are.
