Sunrise, the sun dazzling in the East, only just up. On the water most of the boats are still behind the shadow of the Devonshire Dock Hall, except a few north towards North Scale, their sides fully illuminated – bright light across each length. The sun is just starting to bring colour and shade to the day, with a bit of early warmth to counter the chill of the north wind.
