Bright and sunny, with Black Combe clear and in full sun; looking
grey and wrinkled like an elephants foot its valleys
and furrows showing as shadows in the low sunlight. Nearer home, its
low tide, and the boats lie at rest, facing into the fair northwest
wind blowing in. The only clouds in the sky are over away above the
Lakes. This view, for once, sits in a blue sky.
