Saturday 15th September 2001 – 10.47am
Just coming into rain as I stand here, the day a blustery overcast one with a strong northwest wind moving the boats round on their moorings and pushing long swathes of dark water across the Channel. Its almost high tide, the water covering much of the view. Black Combe sits almost clear but shapeless in the shadow of the cloud.
