Sunday 16th September 2001 – 10.46am
Bright blue and windy today. Wind out of the northwest, strong and single-minded, but today there is a clear sky helping the sun to warm the day. The high tide is still building, the boats all riding against it - lining up to show direction - as it continues to push up and up, when the Channel seems full already. Also this morning, a yacht circling the Channel and then heading into the Barrow Island slip, coming expertly to rest in the Cradle left ready on the submerged ramp.
