Monday 17th September 2001 – 8.43am
A sharp wind out of the northeast this morning, bringing in a cold biting day, with the air clear and crisp. Above and ahead all is blue sky and long views, with Black Combe standing perfectly defined and clear in its detail. On the water boat windows are glistening in the low morning sun while the boats themselves yaw back and forth on their moorings moving between wind and rising tide.
