Friday 28th September 2001 – 8.04am
Full cloud again today, pressing into the view and flattening out the colours and shapes. The boats are riding calmly to the incoming tide and the light southeast wind. The mass of boats is diminishing now, with vessels being lifted up the slipway and taken for storage. On the water the old wooden blue yacht sites with her mast down, probably waiting to come out. This boat, here all winter, may get a reprieve and repair this year.
