Saturday 6th October 2001 – 10.33am
The strong willed wind is here still, moving in from the south-southeast today, demanding the loyalty and attention of all the boats. The blue fisher rides immediately ahead of a smaller blue boat, sheltering her like mother and daughter: the smaller boat rides hidden on her mooring, peeking out occasionally as she drifts around. It’s a bright sunny day here, but the wet and rain of the last few days means that the Lakes are engulfed in freshly forming cloud.
