Saturday 13th October 2001 – 9.51am
High tide approaching, reaching up towards the tops of the banks and trying to refloat the boats safe and dry on the Barrow Island Boat Club slipway. There is a very, very light wind, hardly even a good impression, from the south, but the day has a heavy grey pallor to it. The water sits flat and steely and in the poor light almost seems to shine, off in the distance.
