Saturday
13th October 2001 9.51am
High tide approaching, reaching up towards the tops of the banks and
trying to refloat the boats safe and dry on the Barrow Island Boat
Club slipway. There is a very, very light wind, hardly even a good
impression, from the south, but the day has a heavy grey pallor to
it. The water sits flat and steely and in the poor light almost seems
to shine, off in the distance.
