Sunlight on the day, giving a small piece of warmth and making the day feel more alive. Out of the shade of the west wind, I even feel warm. High tide, with the boats facing the new wind, looking to Walney for direction. Black Combe is almost clear; its shape cut up by clouds and shadows so that it looks changed and different, almost elephant-like.
