A light northwesterly in today: the cold east wind has left us for
now and we have back our mild overcast days instead. The boats lie
calm on the water, facing wind and receding tide without trouble.
The horizon today is the line of sand that is Sandscale and Lowsy
Point: there is nothing to see beyond that. On Walney, the trees are
still clinging to their last leaves, still waiting for that first
severe frost to break each leafs hold.
