14th February 2006, Laurieston Road, Gorbals, Glasgow
Valentines Day, and according to the weather, storms moving in; storms that have seized the US Eastern Seaboard with its thickest snow for 20 years. No snow on the way here apparently but plenty of wind and rain. And so for me, this umbrella a small declaration of intent and a token of something left within a mile of where St Valentine's bones apparently lay. Better still, when developed I find 2 photos snuck in amongst each other like clandestine lovers, confusing onlookers. I discover this after choosing the image, so decide to keep it in in tribute.
