Saturday 9th June 2001 – 10.57am
Small flecks of rain in the air and a strong wind coming in out of the southwest. It is a cold grey day: not a classic of summer. On the water a small fisher is just returning to her mooring: riding up the Channel before turning to approach her buoy, pushing up against wind and tide, with the helm moving between wheel and foredeck to secure the boat to the mooring in a clever manoeuvre well executed.
