Friday 15th June 2001 – 8.33am
A cold wet day. Yesterday was hot and muggy, building up to this release of rain, yesterday darkened early as the clouds turned black and thunder struck in the distance. It must have been raining pretty much since then. There’s a light east-southeast wind coming in, and the tide is receding, as one man takes to the water and, standing on the prow of his boat, rows out to his small fisher. Not an ideal June day to go fishing, but calm at least.
