Tuesday 23rd October 2001 – 8.57am
A fair southeast wind today, adding a bit of life into the day, which seems tired, at least to my tired eyes. Behind me, the sounds of demolition drift across as the North End sheds come down in Vickers. On the water the tide is leaving, and around the edges there is a shine to the Channel, like a halo. Further away, Roanhead is in partial sun, though Black Combe is almost engulfed in cloud.
