A calm wind this morning, coming in steadily from out of the northwest.
The tide is three-quarters in and boats ride the remaining influx,
as the water rolls up the centre of the Channel, swirling the surface
as it comes. The boat storage behind Barrow Island slip is getting
full now, with lots of yachts each still fully rigged
sitting high up on the shoreline looking back down at the water. They
have a long over-wintering before they will return.
