Moving up to high tide; almost there too, but the Channel bed is still shows through treacherously at North End. The day is clear with Black Combe and the Whicham Valley – the end wall of this view – bathed in gentle morning light. There is a light south-southeast wind drifting in on a mild day at the beginning of winter.
